New poll shows tight race, Elizabeth May leading in Saanich–Gulf Islands

SIDNEY, B.C. – With just weeks remaining in the campaign, Elizabeth May is in a strong position to secure victory in one of Canada’s most closely watched ridings. A new Oraclepoll Research survey shows a competitive race between the Greens and the Conservatives, with May leading as the clear choice for progressive voters.

“I love this community,” said May. “We’ve built a strong, green voice in Parliament –  and we’re not about to hand it over to the Conservatives. I’m asking voters to stand with me again, so we can keep fighting  for affordable housing, healthcare, good jobs, Indigenous reconciliation, and a sustainable future – while protecting our democracy and our economy in these very uncertain times.”

On the ground, the Green campaign is gaining momentum, with progressive voters uniting behind May as the best choice to secure a progressive voice in Ottawa.
